Malcolm in the Middle - The Complete Collection
  • Description
Created and Executive Produced by Emmy Award-winning writer Linwood Boomer, this inventive half-hour series is seen through the eyes of Malcolm (Frankie Muniz), a normal kid trying to navigate his way through life despite the various obstacles thrown in his way - a complete misunderstanding of girls, an eclectic group of classmates and the constant burden of masterminding plans to get himself and his brothers either into or out of trouble. Although Malcolm has a genius IQ, he cannot seem to make any sense of the opposite sex, much less his embarrassing family!. Lois (Jane Kaczmarek) is the outspoken, opinionated Mom, and her creative punishments and tough-as-nails approach always prevent the boys from slipping one past her. Hal(Bryan Cranston), a dad who is a certified legend in his own mind, is perfectly content to let Lois 'wear the pants', but often finds himself creating more chaos than his four boys combined. Reese (Justin Berfield) has mastered the art of a perfect blank stare, but has made up for his lack of intelligence with deviance. Francis (Christopher Kennedy Masterson), Malcolm's oldest and favourite brother, has grown accustomed to life away from the family, whether it's at a military academy or a dude ranch. And then there's Dewey (Erik Per Sullivan), who just doesn't know any better than to look up to his brothers. Hopefully, he'll catch on before it's too late. Malcolm finds himself truly in the middle!

A Classic !

This is my first online DVD purchase from Zavvi, and it is such a good buy ! Over the last couple of months, we've watched nearly the whole set and have laughed throughout. And when we've finished we'll go right back to the beginning because it is such a classic we won't tire of this family ! Makes my daughter realise that when she moans that I should too much, it could be worse... she could have Lois as her mother haha !

Superb

Have loved Malcolm in the Middle for years (Yes, before Breaking Bad existed!) Hilarious, clever stuff. Me and my ten year old are making our way through it daily.

Nostalgia

This show is just as good to watch now as it was when it came out, would give it 6* if I could.

Malcolm in the middle set

I have waited many years for this set to be released, and it certainly didn't disappoint. The offer I got on this site was the best price I could find anywhere online & had free shipping included. I ordered on a Saturday, which arrived on Monday. Excellent service! If you are a fan of this awesome show , just buy it. 10/10

Great series...disappointing release.

Malcolm in the Middle - The Complete Collection is somewhat a disappointment. Of course it is amazing to finally have the series on DVD and the picture quality and the sound are as good as you can expect, but aside from the special features on the first season DVDs, there aren't any more, which is a huge disappointment. I assume that there are no extras, because only the first season was released in the United States and they only did special features for that release, but it's still disappointing that the release of the other seasons doesn't even include bloopers or audio commentaries. Another disappointment is the very cheap packaging, which is not very stable. Therefore, I give three stars for the content - the series in itself. It would have easily gotten five stars if they had put a bit more effort into the packaging and the special features, but sadly they decided to do a very cheap release that has visible deficits which don't really justify the price of the entire set. But for the true Malcolm fan who wants to own the series, I can still recommend the set.
