Following up on their environmental promises, the Norwegian government halts all oil production sending the country and the rest of the world into crisis. Unable to ignore the calls from the rest of the world to intervene, Russia, at the behest of the EU, stages a 'silk-glove' invasion - to secure the oil for the rest of the world. They have, they say, every intention of retreating once this has been accomplished. But events unfold that threaten to change all of this.
Season Two sees a conflict between the Norwegian Coast Guard, and a Russian security company guarding an oil and gas refinery on Melkøya in northern Norway, result in weapons being drawn. No one is willing to back down. This tense situation has severe consequences - both personal and political.
The battle lines are drawn and the choices people make become more important. And more difficult. Because in a grey area the difference between good and evil is almost impossible to discern. And you must constantly ask: Can I trust you?
