1969, Northern Ireland, and Father Eoin O'Donnell is praying for atonement, but the past always catches up in the end.
Decades have passed since 1916, a time when British rule is ripping apart communities, and Eoin is a young priest preaching passionately from the pulpit – in favour of violence if necessary – to kick the English out. Falling under the his influence, teenager Antaine is recruited to join the fight for independence.
