Still Armed. Still Dangerous. Still Got It.

The CIA has many secrets, those secrets getting out into the open world would be very bad for the agency and they need to take every precaution to keep their deep, dark secrets just that; secret.

The agency will regret the day it decides to kill Frank Moses (Bruce Willis) in order to retain its secrets. Frank is now retired from the agency and living an idyllic life, but once the CIA come after him he recruits his old teammates; Joe (Morgan Freeman), Marvin (John Malkovich) and Victoria (Helen Mirren) in order to help him take on possibly the hardest mission yet.

Frank and his team prepare for an impossible task; to break into the CIA and uncover one of the biggest conspiracies in government history, along with staying alive long enough to do so.

Based on the cult DC Comics/Graphic Novels of Warren Ellis and Cully Hamner - Red, AKA Retired, Extremely Dangerous has finally been written for the big screen and is now on Blu-Ray and DVD.

Side-splitting comedy!

Red is the most hilarious movie I have seen in a long time. These excellent actors not only bring experience into the movie but the relationships and connections between them is outstanding. Be prepared for action and a whole lot of laughter. I laughed from the beginning until the end. Great wit from Bruce Willis who is back on top form.

Red

The cast is the best. Always entertaining and for me a film I can just sit back and enjoy. And it is a movie that I will watch repeatedly. I have read several other lengthy good reviews and feel like most of them mirrored my thougths. So I am keeping it simple. I raved about it to family and friends when I went to see it and have been anxiously awaiting its release to DVD/BluRay so I can keep enjoying this movie for quite sometime. For me definitely a 5 star movie!

Fab film great for men and women

I loved this film its not too in your face, it's funny (John malkovich is hilarious as a loon!) theres just the right amount of action and a bit of romance in there too from helen mirren's character. I was not disapointed, great one to watch together with your boyfriend or husband!

Red

I was sceptical about the film despite the high number of very well known actors. But I was proven wrong. Not only was the acting superb as we expect from all the brilliant actors, the film was also very funny. The action combined with the hilarious one-liners makes this a diamond for any person who likes a good combination of high paced action and dark humour! Highly recommended film!

everything a film should be

To be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect from RED but I absolutely loved it! The acting was superb all the way through and the characterization is fabulous. Each character has depth, plausability and the audience feels a connection to each and every one. Helen Mirren is on her usual oustanding form and brings something wonderful to the film with her classy, feminine touch. This is not all about explosions and chase scenes - although there are plenty of those - this film actually has a warmth and a depth that I haven't seen in a film for a long time. RED has something for everyone - action, adventure, comedy, intrigue and even a little romance of the most unexpected kind. I loved this film! Honestly, give it a go - you will be pleasantly surprised!

RED - Respledent Exciting Daring

Fantastic film, bruce willis just gets better with age. Any film that boasts a cast including Morgan Freeman and John Malkovich are in for a treat. I was wondering how Helen Mirren would fit into this scenario but when you see her wielding a machine gun in bovver boots and posh frock. The film has plenty of action and the story line is great and easy to follow. I really enjoyed this film and would certainly recomend it. It will certainly see you laughing and for me John Malkovich steals the show. If you give it a chance, you won't be disappointed. It's definitely a Friday night flick, something that is easily enjoyed.

Red is a very slick and funny action comedy with the most amazing cast!

Frank who is acted by "Bruce Willis" is a retired Black-ops CIA agent trying to live a normal life and then one day his house gets hit by a hit squad that try to kill him. Willis takes them all out with ease and shows he is a real pro even if he is getting old. Willis then sets out get the rest of his old crew which are in danger too. Theres "Morgan Freeman" as Joe in which he gives his normal excellent performance. I must say as great as Willis and Freeman are it's "John Malkovich" who plays the role of Marvin that really shines in Red with all his very funny lines and ways! Last of all we have the wonderful actress "Helen Mirren" as Victoria who is a cold blooded killer with a heart. Even with a less famous cast Red would have still been a Excellent film because the script and action are of a very high standard but, thats why it attracted such a top class of actors in the first place. Another great film worth seeing which stars Bruce Willis and Morgan Freeman is Lucky Number Slevin [Blu-ray] [2006. There is some interesting extras with Audio commentary with retired CIA field officer Robert Baer, Interviews with the cast and hear an experts comments on CIA procedure. If you like your films smart and funny with cool action then Red is for you and the blu-ray transfar is very good too.

Golden Oldies?

This is a good film with a stellar cast. Willis is complimented by Freeman, Malkovitch and Mirren - not the most obvious cast, which is what makes this movie work. The action scenes are of the high standard we are used to. Helen Mirren's gun is hilarious. Every time Malkovitch came on screen there was also a torrent of laughter. Not the most serious film - an old school Willis actioner with humour.

Red review

With all the big names in this film i was expecting something amazing and i was not disappointed. I found it really funny especially Malkovich who i think is great anyway. Its action packed, a bit tongue in cheek but brilliant. Easy to watch, this film really cheered me up.

RED

An action film without the bad language and extreme violence that a lot of theese films go for. It is almost gentle in its way as the characters try, to defend themselves, and find out why they are trying to be killed. A cracking cast, Bruce at his best and Helen well I didnt know she had it in here. An enjoyable film to watch. Deserves a good review
