Work. Kids. Bills. Comedy. It's how the middle half lives.
The Heck family returns for Season Two, bringing with them 24 episodes of offbeat fun with one foot in reality and the other on a greasy wrapper from Burgerworld. Patricia Heaton and Neil Flynn star as Frankie and Mike Heck, frazzled parents trying to stretch their patience and paychecks around three brilliantly true-to-life kids: their oldest, Axl, is a teen jock slacker whose wardrobe of choice is boxer shorts and an attitude; Sue, who's thrilled to come in eighth (out of eight) in Square Dancing with the Stars; and Brick, the only kid who has his birthday party at the public library.

The Middle - Season 2 is one of the greatest comedy series going. American comedies generally tend to lack something - usually it's the crossover comedy, which is more orientated towards the U.S and not necessarily towards the UK audience, this being one of those rare exceptions. It's not just American humour which only they can fully understand, but universal. Some would say it's the parents that make it, others would say it's the 3 kids. They all have their own quirky agenda of life. If you want a cracking comedy this is the one I'd choose above the rest.
