Based on the best-selling book series, The Vampire Diaries is the story of two vampire brothers, obsessed with the same gorgeous girl, who are battling to control the fate of an entire town.
Last season, the appearance of the vengeful Katherine Pierce threw a wrench into the love triangle between Stefan, Elena and Damon, and the other residents of Mystic Falls were forced to choose sides as they fell victim to a new breed of danger. Stefan and Damon were later met with their greatest challenge yet - the arrivals of Elijah and Klaus, two of the Original vampires. As Klaus went head to head with Damon and took a special interest in Stefan, he also seemingly focused on breaking the "Sun and Moon" curse by sacrificing Elena; never swaying from his mission, no matter the action the brothers took, he proved to be the most powerful vampire in existence.
Season three opens the door to learn more about Klaus and the Original Family as his motives for wanting Stefan on his side are finally revealed. As Stefan sinks deeper into the dark side, Damon and Elena struggle with the guilt of their growing bond, even as they work together to bring Stefan back from the edge. Plus, the ghosts from Jeremy's past have a powerful message they're trying to deliver to him, not to mention the impact they're having on his relationship with Bonnie. And, as Caroline and Tyler grow closer, a war erupts between their families.

The Vampire Diaries - Season 3
I was a little dubious after season 2 felt like it was a bit dragged out, but I am hooked again. It's back to season 1 form! I have a deal with myself to watch 1 episode a night before I go to sleep but it usually ends up being at least 3 episodes. I can't recommend it highly enough. The fact that I am a 42 year old married woman just goes to show how well made this series is, to keep me interested. EXCELLENT!!!

I love the vampire diaries but always wait for the price of the DVDs to go down. Zavvi was the cheapest place to buy The Vampire Diaries - Season 3 and delivery was quick too. I am one very happy customer.

If you've seen season one and two of vampire diaries, i would definitely recommend watching season three as it's a great follow up! it's full of drama, action and romance. If you like tv shows like true blood, supernatural, grimm or teen wolf, I would watch vampire diaries as it's similar!

A Great DVD Boxset
A great addition to my little sister's collection of the Vampire Diaries, as this box set not only contains audio commentary for selected episodes, making of documentaries, gag reels and un-aired scenes, it also contains an Ultra Violet Digital Copy feature, which allows you to stream or download a copy of the series to your iOS or android compatible device.
