Prepare for the arrival of Gozer the Gozerian with the DUST! Ghostbusters Gozer's Temple Door Ingot Key. Exclusive to Zavvi, this limited edition product is a miniature replica of the door panels that lead to the temple's interior. The same engravings can be found atop the Shandor Building (Spook Central), which was based on the real-life building at 559 Central Park West in New York City.
Who Is Gozer?
Gozer is a sinister entity from an alternate dimension and the primary antagonist of the original Ghostbusters movie, which was released in 1984. Played by actor Slavitza Jovan, the so-called Lord of the Sebouillia was once worshipped by ancient civilisations such as the Sumerians and the Mesopotamians, and millennia later, its return was heralded by the arrival of its minions, Vinz Clortho / the Keymaster and Zuul / the Gatekeeper. This pair of evildoers managed to possess human bodies and successfully completed a ritual that allowed Gozer to enter New York City via a gateway inside the refrigerator of Dana Barrett (Sigourney Weaver), the first customer of the eponymous Ghostbusters.
It was from the Temple of Gozer that Volguus Zildrohar (another title of the entity) appeared, assuming the form of a woman. This magnificent structure resembled a large pyramid, complete with translucent doors and alters for the Terror Dogs, into which the Keymaster and Gatekeeper transformed after summoning their master.
