My husband is an avid collector of the Lego Technic range. He’s been thinking of purchasing this for a while now. The price with the Zavvi sale price prompted me to buy it for Christmas. I didn’t realise how big it would be, it should take him a while to build. These Lego sets are really good value and become a collectors item,
This has been something I wanted since I heard of the collaboration between Land Rover and Lego and it didn’t disappoint! The level of detail in every part of the build was amazing. Disappointing was a couple of missing pieces, but manageable as Lego has a missing piece option on its website!. The price was fantastic, the speed of delivery was excellent to say we are in the middle of a pandemic and the Yorkshire Dales where I live was covered in 8 inches of Snow!
At the age of 50 I thought I might be a bitmold for starting lego but have to say this was brilliant. A great model and really enjoyable to build. Clear instruction that take you through every step. Enjoyed so much I've ordered the lamborghini and the ferrari to keep me going. Would recommend to anyone, any age.
An absolutely Fab gift at a great price .. exactly what my son wanted. Very easy to order, site was easy to navigate and order was easily made. Delivered quickly, and really well packaged too. Will definitely use Zavvi again … in fact I did for a further 6 purchases 😊

Bought as a gift for my partner, she loves it. Nice size build, will keep you busy for a fair while. Arrived quickly and was a bargain price at the time.
The defender was a great build, looks great aswell. I bought in the sale for a great price. Only downside is the price for delivery. If you spend over a certain amount I think it should be free delivery
Clear instructions and well made parts and a sturdy construction. This was the first time with a technic kit and I was pleased with the results.
The attention to detail in this set is incredible. I’ve not finished building yet, as I always planned to take my time over it but so far, so good. Given the level of detail, it might have been nice to have the Land Rover logos, fine details, etc. pre-printed onto the parts - rather than stickers. All-in-all, though, it’s a nice challenging build and it’s great to see how all the gears and components work together as it’s coming together. The January Sale price from Zavvi was very competitive and delivery within the expected timeframe. While the set was well protected, it did come in a shipping box about 3-4x it’s size, which doesn’t seem particularly efficient or environmentally friendly. Perhaps a result of the current global supply chain issues but if not, I hope this issue is addressed.
