Having loved Sissy Spacek in 'Carrie' for many years I wondered if the remake would be better or, like many remakes of classic films, total pants. I must admit that this time, doing a modern remake has totally worked as the filmmakers followed the original 'Carrie' pretty closely. Chloe Grace Moretz does the part justice & is equally as scary as Carrie White, if not more scary, than Spacek was. I first bought the movie on DVD but was so impressed with it that I also got it on Blu-ray. Well worth buying in my humble opinion & the Blu-ray gives you the option to watch the film as it was made for cinemas or a version with an alternative ending. I must say that the alternative ending did not work in my opinion. Also as an aside, I have not yet come across a bad film with Chloe Grace Moretz in, they all are pretty good.
Enjoyed this a lot more than the original
