John, an ambitious young copper, is sent undercover into the hardcore football gangs to track down the 'generals' - the shadowy figures who orchestrate the violence. Gradually, the hard drinking, hard fighting macho world proves irresistable and John slowly finds himself turning into one of the thugs he has been sent to destroy.

In my humble opinion, I.D. is one of the best "football hooligan" type films ever made. The basic storyline is that a team of undercover cops infiltrate a well known hooligan gang. As time passes, one of the undercover cops begins to like the violence too much which costs him his job, friends & family. Reece Dinsdale should have got an oscar for his performance! It's basically a gritty & violent film full of drama.
