From legendary director Steven Spielberg comes the last four years of the life of an American Icon - Abraham Lincoln. Daniel Day-Lewis stars as Lincoln and delivers an Oscar winning performance in a movie that focuses on Lincoln's fight to abolish slavery as well as bringing an end to the Civil War. This is another historical epic from the director who brought you 'Schindler's List', 'The Colour Purple' and 'Saving Private Ryan' and Spielberg ticks all the right boxes revealing the tortured soul that Lincoln was and the struggle he had against the other politicians of the time to put through his abolition of slavery bill. Day-Lewis is supported by a stellar cast including Tommy Lee Jones, David Strathairn and Sally Field. If you like your historical epics or just like a good story of one man's quest to do something right, then this film is for you. Well done to all those concerned with this movie.
