‘The Irish version of The Royle Family’
Brilliantly funny Irish comedian Brendan O’Carroll stars as out-spoken Irish mammy Agnes Brown in this brand new comedy series that aired on BBC One.
Join Agnes Brown as she indulges in her favourite pastime - meddling in the lives of her six children!
Whether she’s tackling love, life, death or dealing with the in-laws - Mrs Brown is one mammy that you don’t mess with.
Prepare for a riot of bad behaviour - It’s a little bit rude, a little bit crude and hysterical fun for everyone.

We have thoroughly enjoyed this Mrs Browns Boys Blu-ray. Every episode is really funny. I am sure any adult (a lot of X-rated comedy) would want this in their collection.
I love Mrs Browns Boys, I have since first watching it on BBC. So naturally I wanted to get it on disc so I can watch it whenever I want. I chose Blu-Ray because I have a PS3 and I much prefer HD video to SD. But when I first started watching, I noticed the video quality was very poor for a Blu-Ray. The video looks like upscaled SD video with lots of graining. I expected a lot better.
After watching this Mrs Brown's Boys on TV we decided to buy the disc. We can thoroughly recommend it, the language is a little strong, but because it is so funny you hardly notice it (not one for the little ones to watch) Make sure you have the hankies ready as you will be in tears with laughter. Recommended!
Mrs Browns Boys is brilliant.
Mrs Brown's Boys has to be one of the funniest programs ever to come from the BBC. Every episode is 30 minutes of laugh-out-loud comedy that will leave your chest hurting, and your face aching from it all. It's definitely worth the buy.
Laughed from start to finish, even watched all the extras! Only comment would be that there weren't enough episodes. Looking forward to buying the second series, this hasn't aired in New Zealand so DVD is our only option to watch Mrs Brown.
If like me you are a fan of Mrs Browns Boys then you will love this. I purchased two of these, one as a gift and one for myself and I'm glad I did. There is an extra DVD of special features included with the Blu-ray containing the original pilot, dedications, out-takes, deleted scenes, 4th wall out-takes, unseen trailers and an interview with Brendan O'Carroll. In my opinion, every Mrs Browns Boys fan should own this two disc set on Blu-ray. I can't wait for series 2 to come out!
I first Watched Mrs Brown's Boys on TV but had to get DVD! Episodes are so funny but the best bits are the out-takes and the pilot episode, which must have been chopped up into the series. The taser gun sketch made me cry with laughter! Can't wait for series 3!!!
It has been a long time since the world of comedy has served up something as distinctly different as Mrs Brown's Boys. Whilst not entirely original in format, the mix of approaches used by other successful comedies culminates in providing a landmark comedy. It is quite simply a winning recipe for outstanding comedy. I highly recommend it to anybody who enjoys a good laugh.
absolutely fab dvd, bought as a present and they loved it, haven,t stopped talking about it, would defo recommend to people who like comedy
Very Funny! As well written and funny as some of the early only fools and horses shows.... Brilliant!
Old fashioned, rude, crude and absolutely brilliant. From the first episode you are taken on a journey that will remind you of something about your own family or the family next door. Brendan is a comic genius with a good eye for capturing the most hilarious moments of an irish mammy. Then you get to the extras disc. Hold on to your seat because parts of this are even funny than the series.
