Coming after a serious of phenomenally successful features like Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin and most of all The Lion King, the expectations were high that's why Pocahontas seemed a somewhat minor film. But on it's own the film is full of wonderful songs, a unique animation style and characters that one cannot but connect with. Recommended for all ages, both boys and girls.
You can't beat a Disney film like Pocahontas.
Pocahontas is a very good quality film
Pocahontas has always been one of my favourite Disney movies. I love the story, the songs and after seeing how beautiful the film looks on Blu-Ray, now I love the amazing images and attention to detail more than ever. The picture quality is amazing and I am always impressed by how well Disney are able to restore their classics. The sound is crisp and the added bonus of Blu-Ray sound gives the songs in the film a whole new meaning. The special features are good, there's some interesting behind the scenes stuff that I hadn't seen before and I love seeing just how much work goes into creating a movie such as this. So if you get the chance, I'd recommend giving the bonus content watch. Overall, this is a great package for a modern Disney classic.
