"Tiger Talk" is the highly anticipated second album from the multi-talented Vancouver four-piece Yukon Blonde. The label's newest signings have been on the road across America and Canada since the end of September in support of their brilliant "Fire//Water" EP, a 4 song follow up to their Polaris and WMA award nominated debut album. Their latest offering is sonically varied and full of Fleet Foxes style cavernous harmonies, the result of the band locking themselves away for half a year in a freezing cold jam space by the Okanagan Lake, British Columbia.
The irresistibly catchy single "Stairway" is the first single to be released form "Tiger Talk", along with the suitable raucous B-side "Radio". Both tracks showcase the band's ability to write storming indie-rock anthems and hook-heavy arrangements with highly addictive, sing-a-long choruses. Frequent warm flourishes of bright guitar compliment the band's trademark catchy hooks to create a unique and compelling sound reminiscent of 60's soaked psychedelic rock, yet defiantly more eclectic than most of their influences.
