Muppets in space II

The series kicks off a short while after the previous one ended. However, after a brief bit of storyline suturing, John Crighton and his band of chums are back in the fleeing/meeting new people/arguing amongst themselves and learning some jolly important life lessons that is the mainstay of lost in space sci-fi. It's still a cracking good adventure and the main villain of the piece, Scorpios is an excellent protagonist.

Farscape - Season 2

All 22 episodes of the second season have been faithfully transferred to DVD. Both video and sound are high quality throughout these episodes but the bonus DVD is is jerky in places and the quality of the Directors Cut Scenes suffers from their being production previews. Nonetheless, if you buy this set it will be for the episodes themselves and after a slightly slow start the series gets back in gear and we learn much about the backgrounds of the characters and their own personal agendas. As in the first series, the crew of living ship Moya face a variety of challenges and must battle not only a variety of foes, but also their own ship as she is determined to locate her lost offspring. Filled with irreverent and witty one-liners, this dark sci-fi classic builds to a terrific climax as Crichton battles to rid himself of the Scorpius clone inside his head. Makes Star Trek look tame! Excellent!
