Nice miniseries. Thou Sherlock has a bit of annoying characteristics, he still makes this series pretty unique.
The box set itself deserves 5 stars as it's superb in every way. As a big fan of Conan Doyles originals, this modern remake is as close as it gets to the sheer joy of the original books and is on a par with Jeremy Bretts portrayal of the great detective.
This is a superb buy, a totally modern day take of the Sherlock Holmes classics including lots of dark humour and crystal clear cut glass speech delivery. This is really worth it for any die hard Sherlock aficionado - despite the quality of Jeremy Brett's definitive period drama, this modern take is pretty darned great!

At first I was sceptical about this show as I dislike most copies of the original versions by Arthur Conan-Doyle, but a friend recommended it to me and I was hooked! I have since then seen all the episodes (several times!) and found it a breathtaking series that I would definately recommend to a friend. Brilliant plots, twists, acting and altogether a brilliant production that made me cry and laugh every time!
