Plasticine Pirates

My 3 year old son into pirates at the moment, so The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists (Includes UltraViolet Copy) was the only child-friendly movie that I could think of to allow him to watch on his own. It's in the same vein of Wallace & Gromit. It keeps him entertained so it's well worth the money.

The Pirates! The Science!

The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists is an ok outing from Aardman, it's solid as always but... I really love Aardman. I have most of the stuff they have put out, and will continue to buy their stuff. But as the Wererabbit had that little extra, this one doesn't fulfill its entire promise. The characters are swell, the historic setting and the sheer British aspect too. But the ending just didn't capture my interest. I think the move is lost in the British aspects...so much they forgot to keep the flow going until the end.

family dvd

The Pirates is a great DVD for all the family, as is expected from the makers of Wallace and Gromit.
