Whitechapel
Whitechapel isn't your usual investigative police series. There are always murders with dark twists that relate to London's shadowy past. The present and the murky remains of a previous generation commit murder side by side within a modern 21st century setting, yet the feel of the murders definitely harks back to seedy, cunning criminals of the past. This link with the latter day dark deeds of the capital are the key to interpreting and unlocking the minds of the current criminals, and by linking and anticipating criminal intent, the unlikely Whitechapel police team are able to unravel and solve the murders. Unfortunately, however, although the murderers are known, few are bought to justice. A brilliant series, with more on the way.
