Four hundred years after the founding of the Republic, Rome is the wealthiest city in the world, a cosmopolitan metropolis of one million people, epicentre of a sprawling empire. The Republic was founded on principles of shared power and fierce personal competition, never allowing one man to seize absolute control. But now, those foundations are crumbling, eaten away by corruption and excess. After eight years of war, two soldiers, Lucius Vorenus and Titus Pullo unwittingly become entwined in the historical events of ancient Rome. A serialized drama of love and betrayal, masters and slaves, husbands and wives, ROME chronicles a turbulent era that saw the death of a republic and the birth of an empire.

Where all roads lead
Excellent series arrived very promptly. I will say it does only include the first series I thought it was both due to the picture being a little misleading (more likely I was not paying enough attention). It arrived in perfect condition.

Rome
This is a really fantastic first series. Going right back in Roman history and then gradually bringing it forward through the ages, makes you feel as though you are actually there and seeing history happening before your very eyes. The scenery, the sets and the actors are all excellent. Can't wait for the second series.

realistic description and absorbing interest
Firstly the scene which they describe is really realistic, in particular customs, jewery, hair style...etc. More than anything else, i got impressed that the story is dramatic and very interesting to see how people react
