Cabin the Woods Zavvi Exclusive 4K Ultra HD Steelbook (includes Blu-ray)

I’m a big fan of the artwork on this steelbook, especially when it’s completely transformed with the slipcover and the artwork is changed. That’s very innovative and I hope more studios follow in this trend set by lions gate. The only improvement to be made is the certifications on the slipcover are not removable. Which blocks part of the artwork. One of the main reasons to get a steelbook is the artwork all certification should be stickers and removable if chosen. Don’t hesitate as this is artwork is great.

I have never been this happy with a purchase before, this was worth every single bit of my money. This review is only about the steelbook, not about the movie. This has a really nice matte finish. The 4k color depth is great, looks stunning but not perfect (some pixels are visible). I really do recommend this product to anyone whom liked the movie, you won't be disappointed. The art is beautiful and special.

The Steelbook is very cool and how the slip case intentionally covers part of it is really unique, awesome horror satire film. My only issue is the patterning on the slip case doesn’t look great, makes it look kind of dirty. But overall a great product.

This is a superb steelbook with an outer plastic sleeve that interacts with the cover. It reveals the "surprise" of the films premise. The commentary is fun and the extras good. The 4K image looks great and it's a really good release.

Been a fan of this movie since it got released,lots of gore mixed with comedy.When I seen this steelbook edition I knew I needed to get it.Its a stunning looking steelbook and I'm happy to have it in my collection .

This film starts like an unfunny comedy as we get used to our teens: the athlete, scholar, cannabis smoker etc, we even get the generic weird gas attendant. It all appears similar in tone to Cabin Fever or Hatchet. It then appears to go My Little Eye on us with the Big Brother turn in the story. The trap door to the cellar is very Evil Dead; as is finding a diary, reading in Latin and raising the dead. Then we see little bits of J-Horror set in Japan with the usual ghostly girl spirit getting turned into a frog! This all happens within the start of the film and it continues on being a homage to many horror genres, creatures and monsters throughout the film (don't want to spoil it for you by telling any more). This is not a disturbing horror film for adults but rather a cartoonish fantasy aimed at a teen audience. A lot of it is childish nonsense with bad dialogue (check out the dumb speech before the motorcycle jump), but it remains good fun throughout. It has a decent budget and a good cast including a surprise cameo near the end. Light hearted, family friendly and fun.

Another nice steelbook for the collection. Highly recommend.
