The Grand Daddy
The transfer is good but not amazing. It has moments but is soft in places and the special effects scenes suffer for the added clean up. This is probably down to the original negative not surviving and this is as good as we are going to get considering the film was almost destroyed by the studio due to outside interference. The details of how this film got made are as fascinating as the film itself. A must on blu-ray this doesn't have anything new to add in extras or great picture improvement. I am keeping my DVD and previous blu ray due to features and bonus disc documentary but otherwise am glad I have the 4k now.

These old black and white films are great for hdr it really maximises the contrast.
