Immerse yourself in this great nostalgia-fest, clearly created with a lot of love and care for the period. The designs are full-on 80s retro vibe. There's a ton of well-designed and printed extras, including a poster with the original movie design on it, and some cute postcards. The 40th anniversary documentary will make you look at the movie through fresh eyes - and remind you why this film is such a much-loved classic.
This 40th anniversary limited edition of ET is one of the most detailed one we’ve seen this year. For anyone who’s a fan of the movie the 4k upgrade is great. The extra behind the scenes bits are high quality. Yes they’re more expensive versions but i think this one is perfect if your a steelbook collector.
I saw E.T. in a fabulous Canadian cinema in 1982 and remember crying into my buttered popcorn. It's a classic and looks fantastic in 4k. My only gripe is that the "never before seen content" totals some 47 minutes. I expected an "all new retrospective" to be longer than 20 minutes. That being said, for my money, it's his second greatest film after Close Encounters of the Third Kind, and it is a must own in 4k. The steelbook and assorted goodies are cool too.
What more needs to be said about this story. The transfer to 4K is beautiful and the extras make it memorable. Bought as a christmas gift for my wife and with all the extras included in this set I am sure she will love it. A truly amazing release in Steelbook, buy now
Unfortunately the steelbook arrived damaged but credit to Zavvi, they very quickly sorted a replacement. The set is a little pricey for the overall quality of what's included but I'm pleased to have a nice edition for one of my favourite films.
This is a nice collectors set nice cards and the film is a classic, a must have for any collector
