Evil Dead Rise marks the return to the iconic horror franchise, written and directed by Lee Cronin (The Hole in the Ground). The film stars Lily Sullivan (I Met a Girl, Barkskins), Alyssa Sutherland (New Gold Mountain, Vikings), Morgan Davies (The End, Storm Boy), Gabrielle Echols (Reminiscence) and introducing Nell Fisher (Northspur).
Moving the action out of the woods and into the city, Evil Dead Rise tells a twisted tale of two estranged sisters, played by Sullivan and Sutherland, whose reunion is cut short by the rise of flesh-possessing demons, thrusting them into a primal battle for survival as they face the most nightmarish version of family imaginable.
Evil Dead Rise is produced by long time franchise producer Rob Tapert (Ash vs Evil Dead, Don’t Breathe) and executive produced by series creator and horror icon Sam Raimi and cult legend and "Ash" himself, Bruce Campbell.

I disagree with the other reviews, this is a very nice looking steelbook.
Everything the trailer promised and more . Absolutely stunning entry in the Evil Dead series, little winks to past entry's are plentiful in the movie but they never slow the movie down to make them obvious. And of course you've got to a have Bruce Campbell cameo ( well sort of ) All in all a brilliant movie and I can't wait to watch it again
This is a fantastic steelbook for a fantastic movie at a really good price. I prefer the real horror entries in this series to the comedy horror ones and that's exactly what Rise is. Visceral surreal and deliciously violent, the best entry in the franchise so far in my ever humble opinion.
Great steelbook for an amazing film, really nails the iconic Evil Dead comedic horror vibe. Highly recommended!
A fantastic steelbook for a excellent movie. Very nice artwork and a movie that actually stands tall next to the originals. Yes, there is not the same slapstick comedy but everything else important in the classic Sam Raimi films is present. Recommended
First of all, this film is really very good indeed, it has everything a fan of the franchise wants and setting it in a dingy old apartment block is great, you don't miss the cabin. It's also a great horror on its own merits so even if you're someone who hasn't seen any of the previous films, you don't need to have done so as it doesn't require it. The Steelbook itself is gorgeous, I didn't used to like them when they had no title on the front but this really works in this particular instance. Highly recommended.

Loved the film but it strays far from what I call an Evil Dead movie. The only big let down for me is the over use of one liners and pointless swearing by the deadites/demons. They're kind of done to death and are pretty cheap.
I enjoyed this continuation. It's slick and has some great scenes. Very "Demons 2". The steel book is fantastic, the 4k image pristine, the sound is epic. A good informative soundtrack and a cool short film. A great release.
As usual the product arrived perfectly packaged and in a beautiful steelbook. The quality is outstanding. Bravo guys at Zavvi for again knocking it out of the park.
