HACKSAW RIDGE is the extraordinary true story of Desmond Doss (Andrew Garfield) who, in Okinawa during the bloodiest battle of WWII, saved 75 men without firing or carrying a gun. He was the only American soldier in WWII to fight on the front lines without a weapon, as he believed that while the war was justified, killing was nevertheless wrong.
As an army medic, he single-handedly evacuated the wounded from behind enemy lines, braved fire while tending to soldiers, was wounded by a grenade, and hit by snipers. Doss was the first conscientious objector to ever earn the Congressional Medal of Honor.

Phenomenal film with a great 4k rendition and steelbook
I'm so glad Zavvi have started selling these fantastic Lionsgate steelbooks, which I thought initially were only available in the US (Best Buy). Now us UK collectors can get our hands on them too! The steelbook and slipcase are beautifully designed, as well as it being a quality movie worthy of anyone's collection.

Item came today. The steelbook artwork is fantastic. Comes with a front sleeve of the Red Cross which adds to the incredible design. Highly recommend!
Brilliant movie matching a nice eye catching steel book artwork. Is the copied edition of Best Buy, however is a beautiful steel book. This shocking movie is one of this century gems of great acting and filming/director by a polemic Mel Gibson personality. Definitely a must have!
