Christopher Lambert and Sean Connery star in 1986 cult classic HIGHLANDER. He fought his first battle on the Scottish Highlands in 1536. He will fight his greatest battle on the streets of New York city in 1986. His name is Connor MacLeod. He is immortal. After surviving a wound that should have killed him during a clan battle in the Scottish Highlands in 1536, Connor MacLeod (Christopher Lambert) is banished from his village.
Years later, he is met by Juan Sanchez Villa-Lobos Ramirez (Sean Connery), a swordsman who teaches MacLeod the truth about himself, he is immortal; one of a race of many who can only die when the head is cut from the body. He must fight his way through the centuries until the time of The Gathering, when the few immortals who have survived the ages will come together to fight until only one remains. In New York City the final fight is about to begin, and in the end, there can be only one.

One of my favourite movies from a bygone era, I now own on 4K, but not just a standard disc only item, but a glorious collector's edition packed with lots of goodies. A truly wonderful edition that this iconic movie deserves. Glad to finally have it in my collection. Picture is as good as it has ever looked with an equally solid soundtrack. My compliments to Studio Canal for releasing this fantastic must own set
Great boxset, one of the better ones of late that does the movie justice. Complete with 4x new features and nice 4k transfer in native 4K & Dolby Vision this is definitely worth your money, even if upgrading from the blu ray. I can recommend. Whilst I love this movie and it is a worthy set to own, I felt the transfer was sub standard for a 4K upgrade. Pretty disappointed at times. Comes with a nice poster that I will get framed at some point to go with the rest. As usual Zavvi delivered the goods on time and we’ll packed! Thanks. Been a loyal customer since the early days and will continue to be for many years 👍
This is one of my favourites from the 80's. Plus it was the start of an excellent film and TV series. Also ot has the excellent soundtrack of Queen and Sean Connery as legendary as ever. Pure fun and enjoyment.
If you know and love Highlander get this set. The pins are horrible but the boxset is beautiful. Transfer is amazing. It has flaws but anyone familiar with highlander will notice a huge improvement.
What a great comeback for a classic and cult movie after all these years. And the 4K enhancement makes all the difference to improve on a movie that had all the elements (unlike the sequel). Nicely packaged and protected, the only issue was the delay in receiving what was a pre-order. What the point if paying significantly in advance of a release date only to have to wait a further number of weeks after the release date for the item? The only benefit was the added anticipation and satisfaction with the product when finally received. And the bonuses to this collector's edition is a boon for any fan of the movie/music and Clancy Brown. It's a novelty that this edition is actually worth the money for a collector's edition...it won't be just sitting on the shelf! 5 stars
This version of Highlander is the best I have ever seen with some great new extras, for example: Behind the Scenes of making Highlander, and a great featurette on the soundtrack (being a huge Queen fan! I appreciated this). This collector's edition is certainly A Kind Of Magic! I would recommend this to anyone who loves Fantasy/SF genre. And Zavvi were quick in getting it to me in perfect condition

Highlander is one of the best SF/Fantasy movies of the 80's, no question! You have a Frenchman playing at Scotsman and a Scotsman playing an Egyptian! This reproduction in 4K is superb. I was wondering whether they were going to take out the wires that are holding Christopher Lambert up at the end of the film, but no, they are still there which is good as it is part of the methos of the film and why many people love this movie. The extras are also superb, and this is a must have for your collection!
