With only hours until D-Day, a team of American paratroopers drop into Nazi-occupied France to carry out a mission that's crucial to the invasion's success. Tasked with destroying a radio transmitter atop a fortified church, the desperate soldiers join forces with a young French villager to penetrate the walls and take down the tower. But, in a mysterious Nazi lab beneath the church, the outnumbered G.I.s come face-to-face with enemies unlike any the world has ever seen. From producer J.J. Abrams, Overlord is a thrilling, pulse-pounding action adventure with a twist.

Outstanding film
This is probably one of the best films I have in my collection, the storyline is incredible and the graphics, colours and picture quality are absolutely amazing in 4k. Well worth a watch!

A refreshing change (but a bit Gory)
I didn't expect what I found in this film but I did enjoy the watch. It has a spectacular opening scene and is up there with the best of them as a modern production of a WW2 film. The plot hangs on the mission to topple the radio mast but takes a sinister twist which becomes more prominent the further you get into the story. It did have shades of the evil Dr Mengele in the plot about experimenting on prisoners and anyone who happened to disagree with the guys in charge. Once the story veered right away from the wartime stuff it became rather gory but still had me on the edge of my seat until the end. I would watch this again. Picture and Sound were excellent.

Overlord - a worthy horror 4k addition
I had no idea what this movie was about, And that in my opinion is the way to watch this assuming you like horror. Video - this disk is a very good 4k experience with good detail for the majority of the film. The film is often dark so if you have a decent TV or Projector which handles contrast well the dark scenes won’t be an issue with some decent HDR impact. Audio - the Dolby Atmos mix is what I used and I enjoyed The experience a lot with good use of the heights when the movie needs it. The sound track and effects put your speakers to good use, with explosion and billets flying and not to mention the flame throwers all sounding like you are there. The film - if I had read what this Movie was about I most likely would have passed watching it any time soon let alone purchase it. However it’s really well made and holds its own. JJ could have easily made this an OTT gore fest but he has in my opinion add just the right amount of gore when it’s needed and not just for the sake of it. Trust me there is some quality gore In this film with the occasional jump moment. I recommend the purchase. Time will tell how often I will watch the film but for now I’m happy.

were Wolvenstein meets resident evil
This movie is worth 5 stars to my opinion. It tells a story of the 101 entering a church and within the basement a real nightmare is discovered. This movie is full of action, humour and the good guy wins . It's not clear if it's real or fake 4K, but surely the movie is HDR enhanced which gives a better colour effect on blu ray
