Fantastic 4k transfer

onathan Demme’s masterpiece hasn’t just aged well—it’s evolved, and the 4K Ultra HD transfer finally does justice to its atmospheric brilliance. From the unsettling calm of Hannibal Lecter’s cell to Clarice Starling’s tense descent into Buffalo Bill’s lair, every frame is treated with reverence. The UHD transfer is outstanding. The 2160p presentation, sourced from a new restoration, reveals previously hidden layers of detail—textural nuances in skin tones, fibers in clothing, and the grain of dimly lit corridors that ooze tension. The muted color palette, dominated by earth tones and shadows, is handled with subtlety and precision. HDR10 adds depth to low-lit sequences without overexposing the highlights, preserving the visual integrity of Tak Fujimoto’s cinematography. Highly recommended.
