Zavvi - The Home of Pop Culture
Boost your 4K Steelbook collection with classic 1982 horror movie The Thing. From the Master of Horror, John Carpenter (Halloween, Escape from New York), this collectable edition teams Kurt Russell's outstanding performance with incredible visuals to build this chilling version of the classic The Thing.
In this 1982 cult-classic, a 12-person research team head to the Antarctic during the winter of its year of release. But all is not what it seems on this remote research station. The team discovers an alien that's been buried in the snow for over 100,000 years. Once unfrozen, the form-changing alien wreaks havoc, creates terror, and becomes one of them...

Love this design, quite possibly the best design so far for one of the greatest films ever made. Much more of a return to form for ToC and more the standard they should be at. Love this one!
Good movie, good looking steelbook, BUT; 35 quid? Are you kidding me? I’m done with all of this throw in a bit of useless tat and charge the earth for it. All I want is a steelbook with good cover artwork for a fair price. Oh, and maybe a bit of embossing; remember that? Because steelbook producers seem to have forgotten. I was going to get this, but I’m not paying this price for it.
Poor show Zavvi, sort out your shipping.
Beautiful packaging akin to the Waxwork Vinyl.. The Steelbook is beautiful with spot gloss on matte. Pin and patch are lovely items too. Only slightly let down by putting in the pre-existing Blu Ray disc that doesn’t match the 4K one. Had they matched then would have been 5 stars. A tad lazy IMO.
