Under the visionary direction of Brian De Palma and with an adapted screenplay by David Mamet, THE UNTOUCHABLES is a must-see masterpiece - a glorious, fierce, larger-than-life depiction of good versus evil on the streets of Prohibition-era Chicago, with unforgettable performances by Robert De Niro as mob warlord Al Capone and Kevin Costner as law enforcer Eliot Ness.
The big-screen blockbuster hit earned Sean Connery an Oscar®* for his portrayal of veteran officer Jimmy Malone, and the excellent supporting cast includes Patricia Clarkson, Andy Garcia and Charles Martin Smith.

Such rewatch value.
Great transfer of a much underrated movie. It belongs among the greats (The Godfather, Scarface e.t.c) but is often overlooked. I must have seen it over a dozen times since it was released and it still entertains. In just under 2 hrs it seems have so much story without feeling rushed or lacking in character progression. Costner, Connery, DeNiro, Garcia make up Stellar cast. Honourable mention to Billy Drago who manages to be, arguably the most evil looking villain in mobster history. Anyway I think it would be difficult to be disappointed with this release whether it's your first watch or your tenth.
