Beneath the floorboards of a sprawling mansion set in a magical, overgrown garden in the suburbs of Tokyo, tiny 14-year-old Arrietty lives with her equally tiny parents. The house is occupied by two old ladies, who are unaware of the existence of their miniature tenants. Arrietty and her family live by "borrowing". Everything they have, they borrow or make from the things they have borrowed. A sugar cube here, a scrap of material there.
But only a little each time, so the ladies do not notice. Arrietty's parents have always warned her: "Never let humans see you." Once seen, little people always have to move on. But the adventurous Arrietty doesn't listen, and soon she gets discovered by Sho, a 12-year-old human boy who lives in the mansion. The two begin to confide in each other and, before long, a friendship begins to blossom...

A lovely film with beautiful animation from the acclaimed Ghibli studios, the Steelbook looks great and sits nicely on my shelf next to The Ghibli Library Art of Arrietty hardback book
Great service as always from Zavvi. The Steelbook itself is excellent. Another one to add to the Ghibli collection. Oh, and if you haven't seen the film yet, one of their best.
This Anime just absolutely stunning so beautiful quality I'm so happy!
beautiful anime - love the collection - steelbook great quality and fast delivery with great packaging.
Ghibli films are known for their beauty in detail and Arrietty is no exception with the inside of this steelbook case capturing the amazing aspects of that in the film.
Though not quite reaching the dizzy heights of earlier Ghibli films, Arrietty still provides an enjoyable and solid story. Superb voice acting and playful direction are some of the many highlights. The steelbook is superlative, providing some delightful illustrations of the characters and doesn't feel like a cheap or rushed product. It's almost too tempting to leave it preserved in the plastic but what would be the point in that? :) highly recommended, buy it while you can before they disappear!
Great movie which resembles the classic film 'The Borrowers'. Nice looking steelbook which matches my other Ghibli steelbook
