Exceptional
Truly ground breaking series from Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg. Jaw dropping realism and based on the accounts of the company who endured these harrowing experiences first hand. Each episode starts with a documentary style ‘talking heads’ recording where the heroes who lived to tell their tale reminisce about what they saw, good or bad. The episode Bastogne is one of the best pieces of cinematography I have ever seen and would seem implausible were it not told by the voices of Easy Company themselves. I cannot recommend this enough. Whether you are into War films or not this is essential viewing. The casting is also exceptional.
