Following Escape from New York and The Thing, John Carpenter and Kurt Russell re-unite for this mystical, action, adventure, comedy, kung-fu, monster, ghost story!
Russell plays Jack Burton, a reasonable guy who is about to experience some unreasonable things in San Francisco's Chinatown. As his friend's fiancée is kidnapped Jack becomes embroiled in a centuries-old battle between good and evil. At the root of it all is Lo Pan, a 2000-year-old magician who rules an empire of evil spirits. Jack goes to the rescue dodging demons, goblins and the unstoppable Three Storms as he battles through Lo Pan's dark domain.
One of Carpenters most enjoyable and best loved films, Big Trouble in Little China brilliantly juggles delirious set-pieces, comedy and kung-fu action with a razor sharp script of corking one-liners, as Jack would say 'It's all in the reflexes'.

Absolutely excellent steelbook. Beautiful artwork and tons of extras. This is getting hard to find, so get this while stock lasts.
Loved this film when was younger & its just as good now that I'm older. Its such a fun film & doesn't take itself too serious & plays well on the screen.
loved this film since i first saw it many many years ago i have owned it on video dvd and bluray but lent my bluray version to a friend and never got it back so when this came up it was a must buy film is still a classic picture and sound is excellent and the steelbook it great all in all just epic
A fun movie featuring Kurt Russell as an unlikely hero who stumbles into the world of Japanese black magic and sorcery. Some brilliant fighting scenes and comical moments make this romp fun.
I will always give Big Trouble In Little China 10/10 it was one of my favourite childhood movies and still is one of my favourite movies. John Carpenter and Kurt Russell really did some excellent classic movies and this sits there with the best of them. This steelbook edition really is like a piece of ming dynasty china to me, an excellent transfer with some brilliant additions to an already great movie. Get it just to see the extended ending on the extras, it should never have been cut out the finished theatre version. I couldn't find anything wrong with this steelbook it is one the best i own and was worth every penny. Grab a some beers grab this blu ray and get ready to watch a classic.
