The return that Bond needed.
After the Bourne Identity came around, the Bond franchise needed a revamp, and Casino Royale more than delivers. Director Martin Campbell brings a punchy, urgent Bond that is far more tooled for the modern age of espionage and is personified by the new Bond, Daniel Craig, whose incarnation of the character is a lot rawer, far more emotional and many times deadlier. Not to be missed. Not just one of the best Bond films ever, but a truly fantastic action film to boot.
Casino Royale steelbook
Very cool looking steelbook, will be nice in my Collection. Bond = Daniel Craig.
Casino Royale
Excellent film, both Daniel Craig and Eva Green are amazing and Judi Dench is, as always, brilliant. Picture quality is incredible, as is the audio quality. A great range of extras too.Would definitely recommend.
The film that changed Bond!
This is a fantastic movie regardless of if you are a James Bond fan or not. Casino Royale changed the way we saw Bond and introduced the famous British Secret Agent to a new generation of film fans. Worth the purchase for the high definition upgrade alone. It is nice to have a collectors edition of one of my favourite films.
Excellent Bond Movie, Mysterious Steelbook
Casino Royale is one of the best Bond movies, and this steelbook pays it respect by folding it between the covers of luxurious, mysterious artwork reminiscent of the fantastic abstract opening sequence, a trademark of the series. This BD plays perfectly in my region-A locked North American PS3. Buy with confidence.
Centerpiece item
The best Daniel Craig Bond movie paired with a superb steelbook equals a must buy. Would not leave this one out.
Great Movie
Probably my favorite James Bond movie of all time. Terrific steelbook case to go along with it. Would highly recommend.
Bond!
One of the best bond films in a stylish steelbook design. I love it and the movie, a definite good buy!
Great artwork to add to any Steelbook or Blu-Ray Collection.
This great film finally receives a steelbook release, marking my 47th addition to said collection, and in a very visually-pleasing way too. Inspired by the opening title sequence of the film, the front and back are absolutely mesmerising, especially in-person. It feels as if there was a lot of effort into making this product, and it shows. It is a shame that the spine of the product is very bare and simple compared to that of the front and back, as it is just a solid-fill bronze with the tile and logos, taking away ever so slightly from the overall beauty. Though overtime the spine has grown on me, especially when placed alongside the rest of my Blu-Ray steelbooks. The only other issue I have with the steelbook is the fact that the silhouetted Bond on the front of the art work is too close to the right-hand side of the product, forcing for the suppressor of his pistol to carry on over to the inside of the casing, which may annoy some people. The quality of the Blu-Ray film itself is astonishing and highly recommended. I believe it is the same content as that of previous Casino Royale releases, but that's not really the point of this product; what makes this product work is the packaging, and that makes this a highly recommended item for any collector or James Bond fan.
