I remember a few years ago buying the boxed sets of season 1 as they were released, and decided to purchase the Blu-ray version. If you have read other reviews of farscape, no doubt you will be familiar with the views on the upscaled picture. It's not too bad a transfer, not outstanding, but good. My main thing for buying was the excellent price and the fact that on 5 Blu-rays, it's far more compact than on the original releases.
I must have missed this series when it was first shown. At the price paid for 18 hours of light hearted entertainment, Farcape - Season 1 is a huge bargain. The story lines are pretty well thought through. It wouldn't win any Oscars for content or acting but it's enjoyable just the same.
