Great

Whilst there are more curios than films you will sit and watch, it’s great to have them all in one set. Plus it’s a great price from Zavvi. Recommended!

Zavvi Rocks

HG Lewis Franchise has been a longtime favorite amongst the purest of Indie lovers . I had remotely heard of it and was blown away with how hilariously bad the movies were. This Boxset was in my wish list. Having seen all the movies previously, now I’m going to binge on hours and hours of special features. The pricing for such a massive boxset was an icing on the cake Thank You Zavvi

Great, affordable set of sleazy B-horror goodness!

Just a really great selection of purposefully sleazy B-horror movies from Herschel Gordon Lewis, the man who effectively invented gross out horror. For the money you get a wide array of his films, including arguably his best Two Thousand Maniacs! The set itself is solid albeit nothing spectacular; standard Blu-ray cardboard case with separate plastic cases, but that's to be expected at the price. Overall a worthwhile purchase either for hardcore fans of HGL, newcomers or those who just want to see the history of gross out horror. It's not exactly high grade but there's a certain doing-it-for-the-love-of-making-movies, DIY charm to the films. Not one ounce of pretentiousness to be found here, just fun, grungy, low-budget horror (comedy) that never pretends to be anything it isn't.
