From the producers of '300', Immortals is a visually stunning and bloody retelling of the epic Greek legend of Theseus in awesome 3D. The ruthless King Hyperion (Mickey Rourke) leads his bloodthirsty army on a murderous rampage across Greece to find a deadly weapon that can kill the Gods themselves. Only Theseus (Henry Cavill), a mortal chosen by Zeus, King of the Gods, can lead the fight against Hyperion and his evil army with the fate of mankind and the Gods at stake.

Immortals gets four stars for living up to my expectations of it. I expected a visually rich action-adventure, and that's what it was. It wasn't the most captivating or inspiring of films, but it was engaging and entertaining enough to enjoy. The 3D wasn't mind-blowing, but it wasn't bad either - I am happy to have gotten it in 3D.
Immortals 3D (Includes 2D Version) is an excellent film. It's action from start to finish. If you have surround sound then this will rock your speakers.
Immortals 3D (Includes 2D Version) is a great film if you have a 3D TV.
Good film if you are into stories about Gods and Goddesses.
3D has twice the resolution of Blu-ray and it shows in Immortals 3D. It's not quite as remarkable as Avatar but still good.
Tarsem Singh's Immortals 3D is the latest in Hollywood's recent forays back into the old "sword and sandals" epics of yesteryear. Famed for his stunning visuals, Tarsem does not disappoint with this movie, it is indeed a lavish feast for the eyes and ears. Every scene is reminiscent of an old world painting and the use of 3D is as immersive as it is impressive. The plot is an old one and the acting is reasonable, particularly from Rourke and Henry Caville, with decent support from the lovely Freida Pinto. Make no mistakes however, this is not Oscar Fare, but rather a perfect post-pub Friday night movie that will thrill and excite with its beautifully rendered set pieces and action scenes that culminate with an epic battle between the forces of Good and Evil. Come to it with reasonable expectations and you may well be pleasantly surprised.
Exciting 3D experience. Well worth a watch.
