Zavvi - The Home of Pop Culture
When Pete (Mark Wahlberg) and Ellie (Rose Byrne) decide to start a family, they stumble into the world of foster care adoption. They hope to take in one small child but when they meet three siblings, including a rebellious 15 year old girl (Isabela Moner), they find themselves speeding from zero to three kids overnight. Now, Pete and Ellie must hilariously try to learn the ropes of instant parenthood in the hopes of becoming a family. This family are worth your time
I bought Instant Family on a whim after seeing a clip on YouTube. I thought it was going to be a fairly broad comedy but it's actually more of a sentimental comedy-drama, and none the worse for that. Mark Wahlberg and Rose Byrne are likeable as the foster couple and the three kids are terrific. It's a heartwarming and often funny story about the difficulties they face together. The Blu-Ray has excellent picture and sound quality. Just don't expect the dog on the cover to be in the film much!
