Acclaimed Swedish horror film based on the novel by John Ajvide Lindqvist, who also wrote the screenplay for the film. Oskar (Kare Hedebrant) is a sensitive, fragile, 12-year-old boy, living in the suburbs of Stockholm in the early 1980s, who is bullied at school and spends his nights dreaming of revenge and rehearsing knife attacks in the courtyard behind his apartment building. There he meets his new next-door neighbour Eli (Lina Leandersson), a mysterious girl of his own age who turns out to be a vampire. With Eli on his side, Oskar is finally able to face up to the bullies who have made his life such a misery, but Eli's unquenchable thirst for blood brings problems of its own.

Brilliant. Already had the blu ray of the greatest film ever made (Let The Right One In) but this steelbook was a must have due to the cool artwork. Really good price and a very quick delivery. Will be buying from Zavvi again.
SUPERB STEELBOOK!........AND MOVIE, OF COURSE. LOOK CAREFULLY.....at the front image of the steelie. Highlighted in a metallic, red spotgloss, it is a person hanging upside down......no need to say anymore - look clisely and study for yourself! Both front and back art red spots are a metallic "spotgloss". Absolutely one of the best steelbooks from zavvi in a while - worth every penny! The movie itself is, as you probably know, excellent and very highly rated - a classic, of sorts. Thanks Zavvi!
This is the Swedish original and the best. The story is excellent. One of the best vampire films of all time. Zavvi have done a great job on the covers both front and back. Well worth buying Excellent film and excellent steelbook
