From La Femme Nikita and The Professional to The Fifth Element, writer/director Luc Besson has created some of the toughest, most memorable female action heroes in cinematic history. Now, Besson directs Scarlett Johansson in Lucy, an action-thriller that tracks a woman accidentally caught in a dark deal who turns the tables on her captors and transforms into a merciless warrior evolved beyond human logic.

It seems many of todays films with subjects similar to this one, are a conglomeration of many previous films. The action was fine and picture quality excellent. If anyone has seen clips from the film, they have seen most of the films highlights anyway. The ending is sudden and a bit of a anti climax.....when the potential of the story gets interesting and you want to know more, the film ends. Not a film you want to watch again and again, wasted my money.
I really love Luc Besson´s movies, and this movie really had the potential to be another great action movie, but it didn´t go all the way unfortunately. Also watch; Limitless with Bradley Cooper
Film: Violent sci-fi with the premise "What would happen if a human being used 100% of their brain capacity?"Luc Besson's film is typically wacky and stylised but is really enjoyable. Packaging etc: Timely delivery and well packaged.
I had been looking forward to watching this film for ages. The trailers looked encouraging, pretty good cast, etc... However, the film rapidly degenerates into something between Carry-on Super Hero and a Marvel movie. Combined with the ridiculous claims about brain power (as if we only use 10%), the film rapidly becomes farcical and more like a comedy than a 'serious' sci-fi. If you like action without substance, then yes, the film is enjoyable. If you like some credibility with your sci-fi, look elsewhere. Nice special effects, good cast, poor script, some seriously poor characters all add-up to produce a below par effort.
Very stylish sci-fi thriller, great special effects.,
Happy with the purchase good price quick delivery definitely recommend this to anyone who likes unusual films Thank you
This was an excellent, innovative movie. Definitely keeps you thinking throughout!
Wicked film absolutely loved watching it, the previous reviews i saw matched our viewing experience, brilliant fom start to finish, its been a while since ive seen a proper good start to finish action film like lucy 10/10
This is a Si Fi yes, good cast yes, reasonable story yes, complete No. The start was quite good it had me interested, the story was easy to follow but the ending ruined it for me. The complete absorbance was not in my mind how it should have finished. The concept was there but the finish wasn't .
There were various advertisements giving praise to the film. It had a good start, a reasonable storyline but sadly the ending was so far fetched. I realise it is SiFi but the complete absorbance didn't work for me.
great movie worth watching again and again
Based on the trailers I was expecting a typical bonkers Besson film. I enjoyed the film a lot but action as Lucy upgraded seemed muted. The science behind it is laughable but doesn't impinge.Scarlet Johannson dials down the crazy but the gangsters dial it back up again. Definitely worth buying and re-watching.
