I've watched this film alot of years ago and found it very powerful then. But to buy from Zavvi on blue ray was even more amazing! Quality sound & images plus you carn't beat true stories. May put some off going abroad for a holiday! Its a must have movie!!

Great 70s movie

Midnight Express is a great prison movie that still holds up despite being made more than 40 years ago. Although downbeat and often violent, it's a gripping story even though you might take a dim view of the protagonist trying to smuggle drugs out of Turkey. The electronic score by Giorgio Moroder is a bit dated but other than that it feels pretty contemporary. It looks great on Blu Ray, is brilliantly directed by Alan Parker and has superb performances from Brad Davis, John Hurt and Randy Quaid.

Midnight Express

Picture quality with this Midnight Express is the best I have experienced on a classic, 40 year old movie, Great extras including commentary and a making of documentary too. Highly recommended!
