From the mind of writer/director Clive Barker – the macabre visionary responsible for Hellraiser and Candyman – comes Nightbreed, a nightmare-induced fantasy set in a world like nothing you’ve ever experienced before… one which will leave you questioning who the real monsters are.
By night, Aaron Boone (Craig Sheffer, Teen Wolf) dreams of Midian, a hidden subterranean world where monsters have created a haven from humanity. Under pressure from his girlfriend Lori (Anne Bobby, Born on the Fourth of July), he attends psychotherapy sessions, unaware that his shrink, Dr Decker (Videodrome director David Cronenberg), is setting him up to take the fall for a series of violent murders. Convinced he no longer belongs in the human world, Boone goes in search of Midian – not realising that the real killer has plans for both him and the colourful cast of outsiders who call it home…
The victim of studio interference and an unrepresentative marketing campaign, Nightbreed was poorly received by critics on its initial release and failed to ignite the box office, but has since undergone a radical reappraisal. Arrow Video is proud to present two versions of this depraved cult classic: the studio-approved theatrical cut and the reconstructed, reinvigorated director’s cut, for the ultimate nightmarish viewing experience.

If you’re a fan of the film Nightbreed, despite the flaws of its original release, you’ll love this edition. The director’s cut has been available on DVD before but this is a beautifully packaged edition with a booklet of essays and a poster to top it all off. The director’s cut is one of those rare beasts (pardon the pun) that actually makes the film you loved even better.

Since the beginning of the 90ies when i had read a story about this movie in Fangoria i tried to see that movie in a proper version-but i am from Austria and there was no way i didn't play at the cinemas there was only a short version on VHS- thank you guys at arrow that i have finally a deluxe Version of Nigthbreed - and to be honest David Cronenberg as psycho is reason enough to buy this movie and you will get much more - and finally you can buy any arrow release - the best editions and perfect selection - my favorite Label ever where i got nearly all favorites from my youth in a perfect quality with great specials - love it

The Breed
Great box set and the closet version of the directors true vision, which is a very different and superior film to the theatrical version, which is included as well. Nice book to accompany the films giving the turbulent making of the film, well worth a read. If you’re a horror, Barker, or just Nighbreed fan this box set is a must, enjoy.

My favourite horror film. Finally nice to have the directors cut and theatrical cut on blu ray. Nice package of a book and poster with it. Now to hope for a steelbook.

Nightbreed S.E.
Finally Clive Barker's Cut of the film is out in The U.K. much better than the one we are used to seeing. Adds 20 minutes of new scenes and 20 odd of different scenes. if you like Nightbreed this Blu-ray is the one for you. Also has the Theatrical version included, sadly only in PCM 2.0. Loads of Special features as well.

Nightbreed
I love this film!!!! I read the book (Cabal) way back and when it was made into a film I couldn’t believe it! A while back I made the transition from dvd to Blu-ray and have been waiting for a decent release of this and it doesn’t disappoint!!!! A quality cover and it sits perfectly in my collection.... Now all I need is ‘A Midnight Clear’ on Blu-ray and I’ll be happy....

Nostalgic
As an avid reader of Clive Barker, remembering the movie from the 80's , I'm glad to see that it's been done justice. There's always a worry that an old film doesn't live up to your memory of that movie, not this! As good as I remembered , and the limited edition packaging is glorious . Sits beautifully with my Cabal book on which the film is based , if you remember liking the film, or like old 80's/90's horrors it's well worth getting this!

A Clive Barker Classic
Really enjoyed the film, certainly different and another look into the mind of Clive Barker who of course has a very macabre sense of vision. Not quite 5 stars, but definitely worth a watch if you're a horror fan especially if you like older horror films The Blu Ray presentation box, along with the extras made it worth the purchase.
