Quantum of Solace

Good film, looks great on Blu Ray with a great range of extras.

Quantum of Solace steelbook

Very cool looking steelbook, will be nice in my Collection. Bond = Daniel Craig.

Casino Royale pt 2

It gets a lot of stick for not being as good as Casino Royale but I see this as the final part of the Casino Royale story. The steelbook looks great and the film looks great in high definition.

Quantum of Solace

A very good film, I was waiting for quite a while for the steelbook version. Totally pleased!

Excellent

Really nice steelbook to add to the Bond range, great film too in my opinion. The first one I was sent had a misprint so Zavvi quickly sent a replacement. Great service.

First off, the steelbook is beautiful. No doubt about it. The film gets an extra star just for that. Absolutely in love with the packaging. The film... Craig's second movie as Bond is a disappointment. Where to start? The idea to try and make this a direct sequel to Casino Royale is misjudged, if somewhat inevitable. The direction by Marc Forster isn't the best, and the awkward attempts to clone the style of the Bourne movies is a touch embarrassing (this series used to inspire other action films, not weakly imitate them!). The muddled script doesn't help either (there was a writer's strike at the time, apparently leading to Craig and Forster desperately trying to hammer the unfinished screenplay together day-by-day on set), though I personally love the relative down-to-earth-ness of the villain's plan (take control of a country's water supply in order to exert control over its leaders). On the plus side Craig is once again brilliant, as are Olga Kuryenko as Bond's female sidekick and Mathieu Amalric as the villain. Also David Arnold's excellent score is sadly his last for the Bond films to date.
