Rich, arrogant and married, Richard has invited his lover Jen to his luxury retreat for a romantic getaway. Their plans are interrupted however by the sudden early arrival of his two sleazy ‘associates’ for their hunting trip. Their initial leering advances turn much uglier, culminating in a brutal assault and Jen left for dead in the desert.
Coralie Fargeat’s explosive, stunning debut subverts a well trodden genre, winning widespread critical acclaim and instant cult status.

I bought this after reading some positive things online about the film. The film was far better than I had anticipated and the package and extras it comes with are good quality and an added bonus.
The 'Rape Revenge' sub-genre is a tricky one and often lacking any actual input and POV from the victims (who are nearly always women), finally a movie comes along to challenge and change that. A fantastically realised setting, terrific lead performance and buckets of blood, give this genre such a reset and a well needed boost of artistic credibility. Terrific stuff. Highly recommend.
Heard a lot of hype for this movie but after watching it I thought it was meh. It was enjoyable enough but not as good as people said it was
