High-spirited high jinks on Christmas Eve put Frank Cross (Bill Murray) in a ghostly time warp in this hilarious take-off of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol." Cross, who has made the meteoric rise from the depths of the mailroom to TV network President, is mean, nasty, uncaring, unforgiving and has a sadistic sense of humour - perfect qualities for a Scrooge. Before the night is over, he'll be visited by a maniacal New York cab driver from the past, a present-day fairy who's into pratfalls and, finally, a ghoulish, seven-foot headless messenger from the future.

Scrooged
I love this film. It's never going to win any awards other than the most gurneying on screen by Bill Murray but do you really need plot twists, effects that cost the gross national debt of some countries or actors who need to method act a scene to death? This film is fun. Fact. It takes the classic Dickens tale and warps it to the 80s and gives it a Saturday night live feel. What's not to love? Leave your intellect at the door and just enjoy this film for what it is. Entertainment. I rated it a 3 however for the disc. No extras other than the theatrical trailer. Not sure what I was expecting but still disappointing.

Humbug
We always watch this film every year on TV so I got it on Blu-ray as it is one of the best films for Christmas.
