To stop a racist killer (Christian Bale), Shaft's got to track down the only eyewitness that can put him behind bars (Toni Collette). As Shaft closes in, so does the danger. Armed with attitude and up against corrupt cops and venomous druglords, he's out to make crime pay up.

First let me state that Shaft is far from beeing a masterpiece. The story is full of clieches and it is really not high quality movie. But it doesnt try to be. It makes fun of itself. It is entertaining, funny and superbly acted (especially the two bad guys). I recommend this as a solid entertainment.
