Well I was quite looking forward to Skyline - just goes to show you shouldn't believe the hype. What a dreadful film - threadbare plot, unbelievable characters, hysterical stereotypes, monsters plagiarised from Aliens + Predator + Starship Troopers + the War of the Worlds and a red brain at the end representating the 'good guy' enduring. I do hope the ending wasn't the platform for a sequel...
Although the script resembles something close to the cheesy 'B' rated movies of the 50s, this film still manages to provide great entertainment. The special effects lift the film to the quality we might expect these days. It's certainly one for any sci-fi collector's shelf. I recommend it.
Skyline is crammed with amazing special effects, this film is perfect for sci-fi fans or anyone that is looking for a great movie night. Plenty of alien invasion action and gripping sequences that will have you at the edge of your seat, plus the Skyline blu ray comes with an awesome lenticular cover that changes picture! You must buy this, simply awesome!
