Smokey and the Bandit is one of those quintessentially American road movies, an action comedy and at it's heart, a tense, exciting and compelling chase movie that see's Burt Reynolds racing across state lines, with an ever escalating and angrier law hot on his tracks. In an era when entertainment is ever more homogenised, badly written, and terrified of upsetting the handful of moralising weirdoes on twitter, there's few movies more of a refreshing and joyful to reconnect with what simple fun movies are meant to be than Smokey and the Bandit.

It’s about time this great icon of cinema came onto steelbook, the artwork is questionable, Fred the dog has replaced sally fields for some reason and the artist has taken Burt from the second movie by accident looking at what he’s wearing but that put to one side.. Thank you for making this happen!

I have not seen the 4k master (I hear it's a good one); I simply want to praise the design of the steel book. A map on the inside is absolute genius!!

Dolby Vision, Dolby atmos. Great transfer. This film was a blast from my childhood, so funny , this is before the rainbow brigade , cancel culture yuppies could dictate what is humorous and what they allow us to view. So if you are looking for a fun ride this is a hoot , if you'd rather be preached to try Disney.

Great film. Picture quality is good but some scenes the picture quality lacked. Presented well. Hopefully the sequel will be released on steelbook.
