Own the DVD remastered format and was taken aback by the picture quality and newly included F/X when first watched, but Star Trek TOS looks amazing on Blu Ray. Ok it's not like it was filmed yesterday, but the series does have a new-ish look to it. I never was a big fan of TOS but the new overhaul of the complete series has made me enjoy it more than ever. also included on each disc is the option to watch each episode with or without new F/X, (interesting to see the comparison between the old / new effects) various and much more extras included on each set too. priceless Trek.
Star Trek: The Original Series - Complete Box Set is a terrific box set with all the classic ST episodes looking spectacular on Blu-Ray. Plus you get the option of watching with the new CGI effects or the original effects (I think the DVD version offers only the CGI). I opted for the complete box set as it's small and neat and is a comprehensive package. This is the Final Frontier of Star Trek!

The Star Trek: The Original Series Box Set is a must-have for all original Star Trek fans. Especially seeing as it's in HD with updated special effects!
Only real complaint is the packaging. This set is rather expensive for the discs to be provided in cardboard sleeves. It would not have killed them to include a proper Blu Ray plastic box.
Some classic episodes here that have been superbly re-mastered given they are nearly 50 years old. Although the sets sometimes look a little shaky, all the staple Star Trek themes shine through - the thinking person's science fiction. Roddenberry really was a visionary. A must for any fan.

I'm one of those people who fail to see the value in high def of programmes made years ago It never really works in my opinion However when I saw this box set at a great price I thought I'd give it a try Wow! I'm stunned by how great the quality of sound and picture The effects have been refreshed and it just looks beautiful Tonnes of special features including never before seen stuff Well worth the purchase
