Following the destruction of the Death Star, Imperial forces pursue the Rebel Alliance to the ice planet Hoth. After a devastating defeat, Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) journeys to the planet Dagobah to train with the Jedi Master Yoda. The blu-ray is the exact same, but the steelbook is amazing. Beautifully simple design on the front and the classic poster on the back. Inside is the battle of Hoth. The whole steelbook has a golden tilt to it. Really great steelbook.
Great upgrade of the empire strikes back, in collectors steelbook, even today the best of the original star wars trilogy.
This movie is a classic and watching it on blu ray I was stunned at how new it looks considering its over 30yrs old. The steelbook is one of the best out of the current selection available (episodes 1-7). I am sure star wars fans will love this. Also,this was my 1st steelbook purchase and was glad it was Empire. I do plan to complete the set by picking up eps2+3 but would wait for The Force Awakens to see if the current price drops.
Steelbook's are great to make a classic films look pristine and the Star Wars collection are just that! The strength and quality of the case is far better than the nasty normal blu-ray's. The artwork makes it unique and they just look altogether better. Considering the popularity of Star Wars right now the price is pretty reasonable considering some of the extortionate prices steelbooks can be. If your looking for a disc full of extras then you'll be disappointed as this isn't the one for you. Those of you who just want a great presented edition of a high quality film then I suggest you go for this!
