Loved the steelbook but it was scratched
I loved the design and feel of the steelbook, but when I received the steelbook it had a lot of scatches on the back top right of the steelbook. I was very mad!

Terminator steelbook
The film is a good film but we know that we are buying it for the Steelbook and the 1000 print run. The finish is matt and has a poor quality still used from the publicity material for the films original release. It's a bad print which is not evident from purchasing it. Previous terminator steelbooks have been a lot better

A classic
This review is not on the film that's amazing and still a good well written and original story. It's on the steelbook which looks good. I like the large 1/4-1/3 slips (J-cards) that these newer zavvi releases come with. My only gripe would be that this would be a much more desirable steelbook if it contained some embossing/debossing and/or spotgloss on cover. Still worth purchase if you don't have this movie in your collection

Spot on!
Despite the seemingly universal hate for this steelbook design on other forums online ('dull and boring'), I have to say I think this is probably the definitive steelbook for The Terminator. It has the most iconic imagery from the theatrical poster (Arnie's face with the shades on) but it is updated with some pretty neat little touches (the red glow o the face and the eye) as well as a completely new T-800 portrait on the rear which looks really great. The finish is also impressive as it is all matte except for the very centre of the light shaft in the eye, which creates the impression of real light glare. To top it off, the T-800 portrait on the back is finished with the standard steel sheen of other steelbooks to provide a great contrast between man and machine. I haven't watched the bluray yet but according to the text on the disc it is the 2015 release so it is currently the best possible version of the film you can get in terms of visual and audio quality, can't wait!
